Things to do in Poperinge, West Flanders

Poperinge, located in the heart of West Flanders, offers a mix of nature, culture, and history. Cycle through the hop fields, visit the Sint-Sixtus Abbey, famous for its Westvleteren Trappist, or stop by Brouwerij St. Bernardus, known for its Tripel. Along the way, you’ll also encounter reminders of World War I.

In our region, you’ll find an extensive network of cycling nodes, allowing you to create your own route. On the Icoonfietsroutes website, you can easily plan your route based on these nodes. On Fietsknooppunt, you can either follow existing routes or plan your own ride. Since 2025, the cycling network has been completely renewed, making it even easier to explore the area.

Hiring & booking

Bikes are available to everyone, including non-hotel guests. You can easily book by phone or email. Please state your name, preferred date and mobile number. Your booking is confirmed once we have replied. We require a copy of a credit card as a deposit.

Comfort & service

• All bikes are fitted with an adjustable saddle for optimum comfort
• Each bike has a sturdy lock
• Bike bags available on request
• For hygiene reasons, we do not provide bike helmets. You must bring your own if required.

Rates

• City bike: €14 per day (09:00 – 18:00)
• Afternoon rate (collection from 14:00): €12 (14:00 – 18:00)
• Electric bike: €35 per day (09:00 – 18:00)
